Online Marketing Blog : This Is For Beginners

There are many ways to earn extra cash with an online marketing blog.  When it comes to blogging you need to look at is as a piece of property that you just bought.  In the beginning your blog doesn’t have much life at all. After you spend some time giving it some love though your blog ends up taking on a life of its own.

Online Marketing Blog : 3 Mistakes To Avoid

I write in several blogs, they all have a specific purpose to them, all of them except this one.  I started LarryRivera.com online because it’s my name and I bought the domain name.  I didn’t want to use it as just a forwarding domain so I decided to blog here. Only problem is I don’t have any particular theme for it. I tend to write about what ever I want to. This is not the right way to make money with an online marketing blog.

Mistake #1 : Not having a focused blog.  A good rule of thumb is that you want 10 main keywords you are going to write about. Each keyword should be related to the overall theme of your blog.

Mistake #2 :  What your blog looks like is just as important as what your blog says. Really take the time and effort to make your blog a interesting place to visit. Don’t over clutter it with promotions.

Mistake #3 : Speaking of Promotions -> You really shouldn’t try and promote anything until after you have people reading your blog.  Lately a lot of folks are talking about how important blogging is to your business, while this is true. If you are just starting out blogging you should first develop a readership based on your content, then work towards making money with your online marketing blog.

Online Marketing Blog : What Is Your Passion

Online Marketing BlogIf you are getting ready to start your first blog I highly recommend you create one based on your passion in life. If you do it this way you will be able to come up with much more content and be seen as an authority much easier by the people you attract to the blog.

There are many different blogging strategies and many different ways to make money from your online marketing blog. Non of them matter if your blog isn’t interesting. Once you find your groove the traffic will start to come. Make your blog as engaging as you can. Make sure to comment back to people that comment on your blog. Visit other bloggers sites and leave comments.

Develop marketing relationships with other bloggers. You would be amazed at how helpful and friendly some bloggers are.  I hope you enjoy reading my blog, but remember what I said this particular blog is not a good example of an online marketing blog.  Really the only reason I get any traffic on this site at all is because of personal promotions like back linking  the purpose of this blog for me is to just express myself.

If this was my only blog then I would connect with marketing opportunities of some sort.  I use this blog as nothing more than a relationship building blog. It is here so that people that follow me online can get to know the real me a little bit better.

Internet Buzz: May 21st 2011 The End Of The World

 

The other day a friend of mine asked me if I heard about this may 21st end of the world thing going on.  Honestly I never heard of it before.  I heard of the 2012 thing but never the may 21st end of the world thing.

I can only imagine how the people that believe that feel right now. I am sure it is very real to them.

Everybody knows that the real end of the world is Dec 21, 2012.   I mean seriously on Dec 21st the world is flipping on it’s axis and big rocks are going to fall from the sky.  They even made a movie about the end of the world. Can you imagine the faces of the people who are building bunkers and getting ready for the end of the world in 2012. They suddenly realize that may 21st is the end of the world.

“For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God’s chosen ones.”  – Mark 13:22

I believe that eventually Jesus will come again but who am I to say when. I also think that on May 22nd a lot of people are going to loose their faith. That is a bad thing because faith is good. There is nothing bad about it, I would rather have hope then nothing.

Internet Buzz: OR Is It Like The Day’s Of Noah?


The bible recalls a story of a guy named Noah, God said to Noah since there are no good people left I am going to destroy the world.  Noah was telling people that the sky is fallen, but nobody listened to him. Instead they mocked him and partied like it was 1999.  If you remember we barely escaped certain doom from the Y2k Bug.

Anyways, I don’t want to be that person mocking the living god while his wraith is pouring on this little planet and its inhabitants. I believe in my heart that Jesus will return one day. Until that day though I have to go to work and feed my family. My animals need to be fed etc..  When the time comes it comes. I don’t think dwelling on it can do anyone any good.

Some people are mentally ill and they are scared right now because they believe the end of the world is coming very soon. Even if it is, these people are frozen unable to function in society because of their fear.

Nobody can predict the future,

I like to think I am going to get to be a grandparent one day 🙂

Happy Easter – Pagan Easter – Christian Easter?

Today is Easter Sunday. Among my friends we have discussed if Easter should be celebrated as a christian holiday. While I will admit that Easter does have it’s roots in pagan roots as seen in these articles.

Where did Easter Come From

Last night I hid Easter eggs for my daughters. It is a practice that I am not found of , but I know both of my girls where looking forward to looking for the eggs that the Easter bunny would leave.  I admit it was fun watching them scurry around the house looking for the eggs filled with goodies.

I think remembering Jesus Christ is very important. I make sure my daughters understand the significance of the day.  Most of the conversations I have had usually come down to 2 mindsets.

1. Christians shouldn’t celebrate Easter as a religious holiday

2. It doesn’t matter if a christian does or not because it symbolizes the death and resurrection of Jesus

 

Whatever a person believes what is important is that here in the United States we have the freedom to decide for ourselves what to believe.  As a christian American I am grateful to live in a country where I don’t have to hide my religious views.

One of the arguments is that many of the rituals in Easter are pagan by nature.

I think that when the bible was written, many of the words meant something different than they do today.  Take Easter eggs for example, I am pretty sure dyed eggs were given as sacrifice in the name of some pagan god or another.. But my daughters associate easter eggs with chocolate.  Our morning easter egg hunt was fun and nothing more.

I do think it is important that we remember why we are celebrating on this day though.  We aren’t celebrating the easter bunny, a goddess, or commercialism. Instead we have this day to remember how much god loves us.

It is a good feeling to know that life doesn’t end on this planet. That one day we will be taken to be with the lord and live for eternity. Whatever you believe I do hope you have a nice day with your family.

Jason Mraz – Intro

So as you may have guessed I love playing guitar, in fact I have been playing guitar for over 20 years.  Playing music is the one thing that gives me sanity.  Since I no longer have dreams of playing in a band, to entertain myself I decided to learn how to play and sing as many acoustic songs as my voice allows me to. What I have found is a ton of useful information so I thought I would vlog about it. I figure at the very least I can give some of you other closet musicians a reference point. In theory I could write out the tab, lyrics and chords for you. I could even make my some youtube videos of me playing and singing. Sadly there is only so much time in a day, so instead of re-inventing the wheel. I’ll just share the good stuff I find
