Making Money Blogs – What separates you from everyone else?

I believe that in order for people to notice what you are doing you can’t just be another one of those making money blogs. I think the internet is littered with millions of them already.  I have been working one of those  making money blogs for sometime now and  I won’t lie it’s very hard to compete against other online marketers especially if your technical skills are lacking.  I have learned a thing or two that may quicken your ability to find your groove.

Making Money Blogs – Get A Jumpstart Ahead Of Everyone Else

If you are just starting out online I want to give you some of the best advice you can get online. Don’t start your journey in the make money at home from your home computer niche. Yep I said that! The biggest mistake that people make is believing that they can make money starting in this particular industry. Instead I highly recommend getting involved in a niche that you have a lot of knowledge in.

A while back I decided to not worry about what my sites looked like or how good my grammar skills where.  When I started making videos I decided that I wouldn’t stand in front of a fancy care with some fancy digs on. The reason is because I have always believed that the content can stand on its own two feet. I always wanted to attract people to me that care more about content and less about aesthetics. I didn’t than as I don’t now have the time to worry about that sorta of stuff.

With the knowledge I have now about marketing online, I wish I did know how to build a book shelf or rebuild a motor. Heck I wish I knew how to sew. Why you might ask? It is because these are the types of things that can get you paid online.

Making Money Blogs – Why Blog?

There are only 3 reasons that I can think of, but they are 3 very good reasons and if you are on the fence about starting one of those making money blogs this should help convince you that you should.

  • Blogs are easy to use. Seriously compared to building other types of sites blogs are pretty basic. Also you can start learning how to use html. While to be a good blogger you don’t need to know much html you should know a little.
  • Seo benefits, compared to static websites blogs are easier when it comes to getting search engine rankings. Search engines love sites that are updated regularly.
  • You can create a social community. Blogs are great for finding people that are interested in what you are interested in.

To wrap this post up, just keep in mind that blogging should be fun.   Like Me ? Hate Me? Breathing? Leave a comment I would love to know about it!

  1. Hey there, Larry!

And ha! I like your call to action bit at the end…

“Like Me ? Hate Me? Breathing? Leave a comment I would love to know about it!”

Like you? Absolutely. Hate you? No… but hey, if someone does at least you have their attention. Breathing? Yes… wait… NO! 911! 911!

Great post and I agree with you 100%. Number one, blogging should definitely be about something you have knowledge about. And there are TONS of Making Money Blogs out there. Absolutely tons. Not to say it’s a dead end, but it’s definitely going to take longer and take a lot more work if you want to see results from a blog in that niche.

When the idea hit me to create a blog I looked around and found something that to me was lacking in a big way. So, I created a blog about helping people in a particular network marketing company. It’s just over 3 months old and already holds position 4 and 6 on the first page for the company name and on the first page for several different combinations. Working on getting better on those other keywords.

Not too shabby for a company that has been around for 12 years, in my humble opinion.

And it’s been doing quite well. Of course, getting at the top for chosen keywords is only part of the battle and has held my attention a bit too much. Now onto making it more user friendly, making it LOOK better and making it convert more. But, that’s why I follow your blogs around. You’ve been a great help and Watercooler Wednesdays have been helping to spur me along more as well.

I will say this, if you enjoy what you are blogging about it’s definitely worth it. It’s a long term plan, but it has enormous potential as too many people have proven. Consistency, determination, work and patience are all that’s needed. And if you love what you do, that’s not hard.

To wrap up this comment, definitely choose something you love. Do some keyword research and start writing those posts. Over time tweak it until it looks right and is better for your followers and hold on. Because if you keep it up, you’ll see some big things happen in time.

  2. Great tips…I agree, you have to stand out from the other make money online blogs! I add my personal touch and I have filled my ‘ about me ‘ page which some bloggers forget to do so!

  3. I couldn’t agree more! Indeed, blogs are totally easy to use. People do blogging not just because of the point where they can make money through it but also because of the fun it gives to them. People have developed the love for blogging.

  4. I was thinking about writing a blog. Just to see if I could do it. Maybe on my next vacation. You have made a few good points. thanks

  5. Blogging has become a modern-day phenomenon of sorts, and for some people, it has become a career. While you have no doubt heard stories of blogs being purchased for hundreds of thousands of dollars, the truth is that a majority of professional bloggers will need practical methods for generating income through their blogs.
    Thanks

  6. Blogging might not make you money directly, unless you run ads on the blog (which is a bad idea anyway), but it can definitely lead to opportunities that will make you money in the long run. Blogging is a great way to prove that you “know your stuff” and can be considered a trusted resource of information. It takes time, but this often opens doors to new business relationships that wouldn’t have happened otherwise.
