Over the years I have made a point to write about Christmas. I have friends who celebrate it and I have friends who do not.
Believe it or not their are many Christians in the world that don’t celebrate one of the holiest days according to many people of religion.
After all December 25th Christians celebrate the birth of the christ child. The problem occurs when you delve deeper into history and learn that this date isn’t accurate.
That’s only the tip of Iceberg in regards to the celebration of Christmas.
Last year when I did my christmas post. I explained why I celebrate the holiday. This year rather that say this or that.
I just have one wish. I wish that the world would stop fighting and start loving each other.
There is so much hate and war in the world that it makes one wonder if people really do want peace on earth.
Where is all the good will? Fact of the matter is simply this. Christmas as we know it today is about commercialism. It’s about going into debt to find just the right present for your loved ones.
If you are one of those people who don’t celebrate christmas, that’s okay still be a light of hope to your friends and family that do.
To those of you who are missing your loved ones this year or you feel alone and abandoned. Take comfort in the fact that you are not alone. If I could I would reach through the computer screen and give you a hug.
Allow yourself to be loved again….
For me the magic of christmas was never about pagans, santa clause or anything like that.
I simply love the music, sights and smells of the holiday.
