December | Vacation Florida | Disney World Christmas (Part 1)

Vacationing In Florida Disney World Style

While I didn’t stay at a Disney resort this time. We stayed at a Hilton with time share that we own.  anyhow we had a lot of fun I got lots of pictures and took video’s with my new Iphone 5. I did upload 1 video to Facebook but it took so long I decided to upload the rest of the videos on YouTube.

I thunk I will spread these videos and post across several post since I am still trying to sort thru stuff. I just wanted to get some stuff up to share with you 🙂

Here is the video I uploaded to Facebook. It’s only a little over 2 minutes long but it took like 45 minutes to upload to FB.

…Anyhow it was taken in Disney’s Hollywood studios on their main street. It’s a really cool Christmas light display. I got a little of the back story on the lights. Apparently from what I am told Disney bought the lights from one guy who use to set up the display in his hometown.

A shot of the Disney castle all lit up.

I have to say every time I visited Disney World it has been in the summer. This is the first time I have visited and it was in the winter. I don’t think I will ever be able to go down to Disney again in the summer.

The lines where shorter, the weather was nice. It got up to about 83 degrees. Considering it’s in the 30’s right now where I live it was a nice little break.

Here is another Disney video this time I uploaded to Youtube 🙂

Finally the Disney Finale – Gotta love fireworks!

Talk to you next year… That is if the world doesn’t end first! 🙂

Exploring Disneyland with Your Toddler or Baby

The first time I went to Disneyland with my family my oldest daughter was in a toddler. I remember it being a pain to push around. My personal advice is make sure you have lots of water and lots of wipes. Stay on the look out for grumpy parents who aren’t paying attention to what is going on.  If you rent a stroller from Disneyland keep in mind that they all look alike. Be sure to be aware of which one is yours.

Simmworks Family Blog: Disneyland with Infants and Toddlers

After being asked a few times for tips and tricks to visiting Disneyland with an infant and toddler I thought I’d finally just write everything down in a post. My husband and I have been annual passholders since before we were

Disneyland and your toddler – Take from plr, but still a really good article 🙂

If you are visiting Disneyland in California with a toddler there are so many rides and attractions to make them (and you) happy. Disneyland is a magical place for anyone, but especially for the 5 and under set. They do present

As a parent, you already know that you don’t want to have to carry your child around in your arms all day. You couldn’t possibly make it through the day!  You also can’t expect your child to walk all day long. The obvious choice is to have a way to transport your child – without wearing you or the child completely
out.

Strollers are not only welcome at Disneyland, they are highly recommended. In fact, Disneyland rents  strollers for a reasonable fee. Strollers can be rented for less than $10 for the day, and you can get a huge discount on a second stroller if it is needed. The strollers are clean and well-maintained, but they do all look alike. Tie something on the stroller, such as a brightly colored ribbon, to help

identify it from all of the other strollers in the park.

Never leave your child unattended in the stroller, and never leave any material items of any value in the stroller either. Even if you bring your own stroller, you should have some easy way to identify it – there will be other strollers that look just like it at Disneyland.

Walt Disney’s Resorts- Animal Kingdom Resorts

Walt Disney Resorts – Animal Kingdom Lodge

Walt Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge
Inside Lobby Walt Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House

So we stayed in  Disney’s Animal Kingdom lodge (Jambo House). Staying within  the Disney park is a fun experience. This was also the first time we have taken our daughters on an airplane.

I think the girls were more excited about the plane ride than they were about going to Disney World.  In my previous trips to Disney world I drove down from New Jersey.

Drove for 2 days  and when I got down there I would stay in a time share all week. This is my first trip were I did the whole Disney Vacation Thingy. The first thing I noticed about doing a Disney vacation is you can always get help. Customer service in my opinion is great.

We didn’t have to haul around our luggage, it was brought to our room for us, that was nice.

Our last trip to Disney we had a breakfast meal set up at Boma  – Flavors of Africa. The food was so good we knew the next time we came down we wanted to stay at that resort.

Walt Disney Vacations – The Jambo House

Savannah view - Animal Kingdom Lodge

There are 2 different spots you can stay at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Resorts.

We are staying in the Jambo House. What is really cool about our room is our balcony overlooks the animal reserve.

Savannah view - Animal Kingdom Lodge

In the mornings we can see Roan Antelpope, Greater Kudu, Reticulated Giraffes and other various animals that I haven’t been able to identify yet.

My girls really enjoy waking up and seeing the animals from our roomview. If you have small children I recommend requesting one of these rooms.

What I also liked about the place is they have a decent gym to workout at. A cool quick meal area and  nice size swimming pool. The shuttle busses take you to every place you need to go. The only downside to staying at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is the fact that the resort is far from all the disney theme parks. So the wait time for shuttles can be 20 minutes.

Walt Disney Vacations – I Love The Food Here

I really think the main reason we come here besides having a magical experience lols is because of the food. Both me and my wife have food allergies. The chef came to our table at each restaurant we ate at and went over the menu with us. Very helpful, often we find ourselves at places were we can’t eat the food. It’s nice to know that there is always something good to eat at Disney.
