There comes a time in your life when you decide which way you will go. The moment you were brought into this world, you entered a race. It doesn’t matter if you come in first or last because non of that is relevant. What is relevant is how you ran the race. What matters is that you finish. A true winner never gives up even when they are burden with extreme pain. That is the stuff that winning is made of.
It is okay to loose we all do from time to time. What is not okay is to not give it 110%. Not finishing the race. Remember you only truly loose when you give up. It doesn’t matter if you are first or last. Just finish the race.
Derek finished the race. It takes a true champion to make it to the finish line.
Yo man you trying to make me cry with that video? Powerful stuff. Your right it doesn’t matter whether you win or lose just at the end of the day you can yourself in the mirror and tell yourself you gave it all you could. Thanks very inspirational.
That was my intention buddy. I thought: “self, how can i make david cry?” 🙂
Hey Larry,
As Albert Einstein said: “You don’t lose until you stop trying” – I try and embrace that because a) it makes me feel better about set-backs along the way and b) most of the time you can find a way, and if not a way, then something that acts as a good subsitute.
