She Fell Down But Got Back Up And Came Out A Winner

Very few things make me feel proud

I am not one of those parents who actually thrive on my children competing. In fact I have never been a competitive by nature. So It’s not that my daughter came first place on the bars that puts a smile on my face.

It’s the fact that prior to going to the meet she was ready to quit and afraid. I didn’t want her to throw away all the gymnastic goodness because she was afraid. I told her just go out there do your best and if you still want to quit afterwards I would be okay with it.

It was great seeing her fall down and get back up again. It was even a better feeling watching her take first place on the bars. If a 5 yr old can learn to get back up anyone can. She inspires me to do my very best…

I would love to come here and post more. I didn’t realize how busy writing in 5 other blogs would keep me. Still that’s no excuse, I work on writing more blog post over here.

Well that less than stellar introduction leads me to why I am writing a post today to begin with.

I started a new daily motivation section over at my empower network blog.

…I did a video for that blog that I thought was pretty cool.

Here Is A Little Back Story 🙂

I was out riding my mountain bike the other day. I was thinking about my online business. I usually do my best thinking while I am out riding & getting some fresh air.  I always tell myself that I am going to do more videos while I am out riding but I never really ever get around to doing it.

So the other day I finally did and this is the video that came of it.

One of the most powerful assets you have is your mind. It’s also your greatest enemy. We win and loose battles in our minds before they ever become a material issue. I hope you enjoyed the video. Have a great day!

Note To Self: I need to post more than once every month and a half here.. DOH!!!

Win Or Lose|Finish The Race

There comes a time in your life when you decide which way you will go. The moment you were brought into this world, you entered a race.  It doesn’t matter if you come in first or last because non of that is relevant. What is relevant is how you ran the race. What matters is that you finish. A true winner never gives up even when they are burden with extreme pain. That is the stuff that winning is made of.

It is okay to loose we all do from time to time. What is not okay is to not give it 110%.  Not finishing the race. Remember you only truly loose when you give up. It doesn’t matter if you are first or last. Just finish the race.

Derek finished the race. It takes a true champion to make it to the finish line.

Mindset Monday – See With Your Inner Eyes

It seems to me that to often we have tunnel vision. We only see what we want to see and more often than not we are self – centered.  I know that it’s not on purpose it is just within our human nature. As such we often miss just how amazing we as a species really are.

Some people look at a blind person and says: “Geeze it must be terrible to be blind. Can you imagine what it would be like to be blind your entire life? As a martial artist and a online marketer I thought of being blind scares the hell out of me.

I believe a good way to get the inner strength you need to accomplish your dreams, goals and desires is to draw inspiration from people who have overcome extreme circumstances. Continue reading Mindset Monday – See With Your Inner Eyes
